Data Security Statement
Corus utilizes some of the most advanced technology for Internet security available today. When you access our site using industry standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, your information is protected using both server authentication and data encryption, ensuring that your data is safe, secure, and available only to registered Users in your organization. Your data will be completely inaccessible to your competitors.
Corus provides each User in your organization with a unique user name and password that must be entered each time a User logs on. Corus issues a session "cookie" only to record encrypted authentication information for the duration of a specific session. The session "cookie" does not include either the username or password of the user. Corus does not use "cookies" to store other confidential user and session information, but instead implements more advanced security methods based on dynamic data and encoded session IDs.
In addition, Corus is hosted in a secure server environment that uses a firewall and other advanced technology to prevent interference or access from outside intruders. Corus and our hosting service providers take every precaution to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and off-line.
While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Our employees use encrypted username and passwords over SSL secure internet connections to access the code, databases and files associated with the Corus platform. Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Every quarter, as well as any time new policies are added, our employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy and what they can do to ensure our customers' information is protected. Finally, the servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a highly secure environment by our hosting service providers.
Users of the Corus must realise that although Corus employs high levels of security, no data transmission over the internet can be 100% safe.
Therefore, use of Corus is at the client's own risk.
Furthermore, users must be aware that sending messages with Corus will have a similar level of security and reliability as that of Mobile Phone Networks or email servers.
Corus, its employees and contractors will not be held liable for any loss or damage whatsoever, incurred through the use of Corus, including loss of information due to carrier failure, network failure or negligence on the part of Corus, its employees or contractors.
Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for more information.
